Glass doors along an office corridor

Interior Glazing

Glass doors

Glass doors made to measure for homes and businesses: frameless toughened glass doors with patch fittings, internal glass doors, pivot doors and fluted or frosted designs.

Made-to-measure glass doors

Glass doors bring light into hallways, offices and living spaces while keeping rooms separate. They can be completely frameless, set into a timber or aluminium frame, or combined with glass side panels and fanlights.

Frameless glass doors use 10 or 12 mm toughened glass with patch fittings at the top and bottom, a pivot or floor spring, and a pull handle. Internal glass doors for homes are often 8 or 10 mm toughened glass with hinges fixed to a door frame, and can be clear, frosted, fluted or tinted.

All glass in doors must be safety glass, so every glass door we supply is toughened or laminated.

Glass door specification

  • 8, 10 and 12 mm toughened glass
  • Patch fittings, pivots and floor springs
  • Hinged, pivot and sliding glass doors
  • Clear, frosted, fluted and tinted designs
  • Handles and locks in several finishes

How we make glass doors

  1. Measure the opening. We measure the frame or structural opening and agree clearances.
  2. Choose hardware. Pick hinges, patch fittings, handles and locks.
  3. Manufacture. The glass door is cut, notched for fittings and toughened.
  4. Install. The door is hung and adjusted to swing and close smoothly.

Choosing glass doors

For homes, an internal glass door in a timber frame is the easiest upgrade. For offices and shops, frameless glass doors with floor springs give a clean, commercial look and handle heavy use.

Large clear glass doors need visible markings so people notice them. A frosted band, logo or handle position at eye level solves this.
