Mirror wall cladding in a gym studio

Interior Glazing

Mirror panels and wall cladding

Mirror wall cladding and mirror panels for gyms, dance studios, salons, hotels and homes, safety backed and fixed securely for a seamless reflective wall.

What is mirror wall cladding?

Mirror wall cladding covers a whole wall, or a large part of it, with mirror panels. It makes rooms look bigger and brighter, and in gyms and dance studios it lets people check their form and technique.

Each panel is cut to size and fitted with safety backing film, so the glass stays together if it is hit. Panels are fixed with mirror-compatible adhesive and supported by J-channels or clips, giving a flat, seamless wall.

Mirror wall cladding can be silver mirror for a crisp reflection, or tinted and antique mirror for decorative walls in hotels, bars and homes.

Mirror wall cladding specification

  • 4 and 6 mm safety-backed mirror panels
  • Polished edges, tight butt joints
  • J-channel, clip and adhesive fixing
  • Silver, tinted and antique mirror
  • Cut-outs for sockets and switches

How we install mirror wall cladding

  1. Survey. We measure the wall and check it is flat and sound.
  2. Plan the layout. Panel sizes are planned to suit the wall, sockets and handling.
  3. Manufacture. Mirrors are cut, edged and safety backed.
  4. Install. Panels are fixed with mirror-safe adhesive and mechanical support.

Choosing mirror wall cladding

For gyms and dance studios, use 6 mm safety-backed mirror for a flatter, stiffer reflection, and fix the panels at a height that suits the activity. A mirror wall in a studio is usually installed above a skirting or kick plate to protect the lower edge.

Walls must be flat for a distortion-free reflection. Uneven walls may need a backing board before the mirror wall cladding goes up.
