Satin mirror panel with a soft etched design

Mirrors

Satin mirror

Satin mirror combines a reflective mirror with a soft, acid-etched finish, creating patterns, borders and gentle privacy effects for wardrobes, walls and furniture.

What is satin mirror?

Satin mirror is a mirror whose front surface has been acid-etched, either all over or in a pattern. The etched areas diffuse the reflection into a soft, pearly glow, while unetched areas stay fully reflective.

Fully etched satin mirror gives a subtle, silvery surface that hints at reflection without showing detail, which suits wardrobe doors and furniture where a full mirror would be too much. Patterned satin mirror uses borders, stripes or designs to add decoration to a standard mirror.

Satin mirror is cut, shaped and edged like any other mirror. For a matching frosted look on glass, see our satin and frosted glass.

Choosing satin mirror

Fully etched satin mirror is ideal for sliding wardrobe doors and cabinet fronts, where it reflects light softly without showing clutter. Bordered satin mirror suits bathroom and hallway mirrors that need a decorative touch.

Etched surfaces can show greasy fingerprints, so clean satin mirror with a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner, and avoid oily products.
